Disclaimer: Spoilers ahead, so read at your own discretion if you haven’t watched the series yet.
If you’re even remotely active on the internet, you already know its latest obsession: Off Campus. Based on the wildly popular hockey romance book series by Elle Kennedy, Amazon recently released the first season starring Belmont Cameli (Garrett Graham) and Ella Bright (Hannah Wells).
And honestly? This has to be one of the best book-to-screen adaptations I’ve ever watched. The storyline, the chemistry, the casting everything felt incredibly accurate. It genuinely felt like the characters had stepped straight out of the pages and onto my screen.
And if you’re anything like me, you probably have the habit of talking to yourself while watching a show. So here’s a collection of my completely unfiltered thoughts while watching Off Campus, ranging from “aww” to “absolutely not.”
Dean on his knees? Yeah, I was gone.

This entire scene was the moment I got hooked on Dean and Allie. The chemistry was chemistry-ing, the tension was tension-ing, and then he knelt down? Excuse me?
Manifesting this energy IRL. Also, a quick tribute to JLo because one thing Allie and JLo have in common is that they’re both confident queens who know exactly who they are.
Hannah’s karaoke moment had me emotional.

I love how Hannah slowly starts coming out of her shell throughout the series.
The karaoke scene where she finally lets loose and sings her heart out while Garrett watches her from afar? My heart melted. Also, can we take a moment to appreciate that top? Whoever styled that look deserves a raise because it was hot.
Logan, the gentleman that you are.

Can someone please hand this man an award because What do you mean he says closed cans are safer It’s such a small moment, but it perfectly shows how considerate he is. He understands women in a way that feels rare, and honestly, he’s hands down the most chivalrous pookie on this show.
Sorry everyone, I’m a Logan girl.
Justin? Immediate no.

Respectfully, ew. Also, can someone please create some distance between these two?
Justin was low-key toxic, and Hannah was way too blinded by her crush to see it. Which, to be fair, is exactly how most crushes work. Thankfully she eventually saw the red flags, even if it took a while.
Tell me this isn’t Monica and Chandler.

Because that’s exactly the vibe I got.
The banter, the friendship, the comfort level, it’s giving Monica and Chandler from Friends, and that’s how you know they’re absolutely going to end up together.
Allie’s wardrobe was my villain origin story.

Every time she appeared on screen, I felt like I owned absolutely nothing. The denim jumpsuit? The denim corset? RIP my wallet because apparently I need a complete wardrobe revamp now.
And she somehow looked chic even in her Malone’s uniform. Like how???
Dean. DEAN.

Again, ew no. But also… did you forget about Dean?!
I can already see where Season 2 is headed: Dean being upset with Allie, chaos within the team, Davenport entering the picture, and everyone’s emotions spiraling out of control.
Also, let’s be honest, we now have two guys obsessed with Allie, and can you blame them? Have you looked at her?
Found family supremacy.

There’s something so comforting about watching friends slowly become family.
And honestly, what feels cozier than a group of people cooking a feast together? It’s chaotic, slightly dysfunctional, and somehow still works perfectly.
The chess scene.

I loved how intimate this scene felt without trying too hard.
Playing chess, Dean showing her around, the teasing, the comfortable silences, it was one of those moments that says more than words ever could. And have you noticed how Dean completely softens whenever she’s around?
Male friendships deserve more appreciation.

Who says men can’t have deep friendships?
Garrett and Logan’s friendship was one of my favorite parts of the show because it’s built on honesty, even when the conversations are uncomfortable. Showing up, checking in, confiding in each other, that’s what real friendship looks like.
Too bad they apparently have the exact same type.
Applications are now open for my Hannah/ Allie.

I need female friendships like this in real life. The moment Allie runs to Hannah after finding her crying in bed, completely forgetting about her own problems and just showing up for her? That’s friendship.
Friendships like theirs continue to raise the bar for me.
I am all here for Off Campus
These were some of the many intrusive thoughts running through my head while watching Off Campus.
Safe to say, I’m fully invested now. Season 2 cannot come soon enough, and if it gives me more Dean and Allie, I’ll be seated. Until then, I’ll be rewatching scenes, obsessing over the wardrobe, and pretending hockey players like Garrett Graham exist in real life.
Stay tuned!
